The London School of Economics and Political Science invites applications for Undergraduate Support Scheme in 2020/21 academic session in the UK.
The Undergraduate Support Scheme provides funding for overseas students on the basis of financial need.
Each year, LSE awards around £4 million in scholarships and financial support to its undergraduate students. In addition to LSE’s own funds, students may be able to access scholarships and financial support from governments and agencies around the world.
The School recognizes that the cost of living in London may be higher than in your home town or country. LSE provides generous financial support, in the form of bursaries and scholarships to UK, EU, and overseas students, whilst Government support is available to UK and some EU students.
Worth of Award
- For 2020, the School has set aside approx £1,000,000 in entrance awards to self-financing students of all nationalities.
- The amount of assistance will vary according to individual financial needs but awards are usually between £6,000 and £15,000.
Eligibility
- The LSE Undergraduate Support Scheme (USS) is designed to help overseas students who do not have the necessary funds to meet all their costs of study.
- Please note that the LSE receives far more applications for financial assistance than it can support and unfortunately not all applications to the Undergraduate Support Scheme will be successful.
How to Apply
- Once you’ve received an offer of admission (conditional or unconditional), you can apply for this scholarship. Please complete the undergraduate scholarship application form.
- By completing this form, you will ensure that you receive consideration for this and any other LSE scholarship(s) which you meet the eligibility criteria for.
- The application form will be available to download shortly.
- Please return your application form with all supporting documents including an academic reference to the Financial Support Office by post.
- All decisions will be sent by the end of July 2020
Deadline: The deadline for the receipt of applications is April 27, 2020.
