Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships 2021/22

Schlumberger Foundation is pleased to announce its 2021-2022 Faculty for the Future Fellowships award to deserving scholars in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). The program awards fellowships for advanced research in STEM at leading institutes abroad.

The program’s long-term goal is to accelerate gender equality in STEM by generating conditions that result in more women pursuing scientific careers through alleviating some of the barriers they encounter when enrolling in STEM disciplines. The program acts as a catalyst for women to further tap into their potential.

Fellowship Eligibility and Selection Criteria: To be considered for the Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowships 2021/22, applicants must ensure that they meet the following criteria:

  • Candidates should have applied to, have been admitted to, or be currently enrolled in a university abroad when submitting the application.
  • Candidates must hold an excellent academic record, demonstrate leadership skills, community outreach activities and have a track record in encouraging girls and women into STEM fields.
  • Candidates should also prove their commitment to return to their home countries upon completion of their studies to contribute to the economic, social and technological advancement of their home regions by strengthening the STEM teaching and research faculties of their home institutions as well as through their leadership in science-based entrepreneurship.
  • Applicants are also expected to contribute to the public sector where their newly acquired technical and scientific skills can help provide evidence-based support for STEM policy making, including topics of gender representation.

Applicants are to visit www.fftf.slb.com to apply for the Fellowship awards. They are to complete the forms online by providing all the required information. Applicants are to ensure that all their reference letters are submitted online using the application portal within the time frame allotted.
