South African Women In Science and Engineering (SAWISE) invites applications from sub-Saharan black females for scholarships in 2020
SAWISE is a dynamic association for all those who support the idea of strengthening the role of women in science and engineering in South Africa. The association aims to strengthen this role by inter alia: raising the profile of women scientists and engineers; highlighting and addressing problems faced specifically by women in these fields; lobbying for the advancement of women in science and engineering; and providing leadership and role models for young people wishing to enter the fields of science and engineering
Please note that these are ONLY for females and ONLY for 4th year [e.g. BSc (Honours) or equivalent] of study at tertiary level.
Worth of Award
Eligibility
criteria include for SAWISE Angus Scholarship include:
- A sub-Saharan black female.
- Must have achieved 70% or above grade average in her subject of study.
- Only for studies at Honours level (or 4th-year equivalent e.g. in engineering).
- In any field of science and engineering.

Applications for these scholarships must include copies of the following:
- Curriculum vitae.
- An official academic transcript (record).
- A letter of motivation (~350 words).
- A certified copy of your ID.
