There are two scholarships for exceptional students accepted through the Winter AO 2020 (Global) screening Admissions for the GIGA Program. Applicants may apply for both of these scholarships, but only one scholarship will be awarded if selected to be a recipient.

GIGA Program Scholarship for International Students | DETAILS
The Keio University Faculty of Policy Management, and Faculty of Environment and Information Studies offer two scholarships for exceptional students accepted through the Winter AO 2020 (Global) screening Admissions for the GIGA Program. Applicants may apply for these scholarships the same time they apply for the GIGA Program. Applications for these scholarships will not be accepted after entrance into Keio University.
Eligibility and Selection Criteria
Candidates are expected to meet the following eligibility criteria for the Keio University GIGA Program Scholarship for International Students;
- Applicants must be international students
- Applicants must be admitted into Postgraduate degree program.
- The award is available for Postgraduate courses in Faculty of Policy Management, Faculty of Environment and Information Studies offered at the University.
- Be accepted through the Winter AO 2020 (Global) screening [Admissions for the GIGA Program] to enter the Faculty of Policy Management, or the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and enroll in September 2021 (applicants who wish to enroll in April are NOT eligible)
- Be incoming first-year students.
- Other factors such as community service, leadership qualities, and levels of motivation will also be taken into consideration.
- Based on academic merit
- Applicants must have a High school certificate or equivalent
- Students enrolling full time in the Honours program in the semester for which the scholarship is awarded.
- Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)
- A high school transcript and/or GSE results (if your transcript is not in English, also require a certified translation).
Scholarship Benefits
The benefits of the GIGA Scholarships 2021 at Keio University for Postgraduate Students Include:
- Living expenses of 117,000JPY per month.
- The application fee, admission fee, and academic fees for the first year (2021 Fall Semester and 2022 Spring Semester) will be covered by Keio University.
- The recipient may renew the scholarship for the second year onwards through a screening process based on his/her GPA and other conditions.
Application Procedures
How-to-Apply: If you decide to apply for the scholarships, please register on the Online Application System for the Winter AO 2020 (Global) screening [Admissions for the GIGA Program] by February 5, 2021. A Notification of Award will be sent out to the applicants selected as scholarship recipients by e-mail in late March 2021.
